There is an incredibly satisfying moment in yoga when the yogi truly connects with the sequence. The motions do not feel foreign - they make sense and the direction to move feels as though it is coming from within as much as it is being directed by an external source. When creating the posture flow sequences for Namaste Yoga, Kate Potter soon found her flow in much the same way.

"Ah the Half Moon, I just love this sequence!" Kate continues, "The way it turned out on film, Tim's music, the editing, even the way I voiced it all seemed just about right. This sequence was a gift. No striving, no straining, not reworking the counts. It just fell into my lap and worked right away."

Kate says the Half Moon is great for all yogis. It can be modified for beginners, and really allows the practitioner to develop a strong relationship with the breath.

"To modify the Half Moon Pose, simply keep both hands on the floor," Kate instructs. "In Needle pose, lift the leg as far as it goes. Period. If you get the swing of the breath, you will find ease in the transitions from Warrior I to Warrior II, and from Lateral Angle to Half Moon. What comes in must go out, what goes up, must come down... swing, swing swing... even when you are holding a pose the breath is swinging and it feels so light and free! I could do it now in my imagination!"
