We've been inspired by a quote shared on ourFacebook Wallby our community member, Denise:
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." ~ Mark Twain
Sometimes, you have to set aside all of the things you should be doing, and do the one thing you might never have a chance to do again. What's more memorable: another weekend of errands, or aweekend adventure? When you close your eyes at night, do you want your memories to be of all the to-dos you tackled (and all that are still waiting for you), or that amazing journey you temporarily scrapped everything for?
We're throwing caution to the wind, and as such, autumn is shaping up to be an exciting season for Kate Potter and the Namaste Yoga team! Kate has severalworkshops and seminarslined up, and was recently interviewed byDrishti Point Radio. Have you ever gone on a yoga retreat? Aside fromshooting the Namaste Yoga DVDs(which was more about advancing than retreating anyway), Namaste Yoga has never been on one either!
We're about to change all of that. This month, we're meeting up with Kate inWakefield, QCto experience "A Yoga Weekend with Kate Potter." You can too! Currently, there are six spaces still available in this retreat. You can claim yours by messagingSue McKee. In the meantime, we will spend October learning about retreats:exploring reasons to attend a retreat, how much yoga experience you should have to get the most out of the retreat, what you should bring(and what you should leave behind!).
Help us prepare for our retreat!
We need your help to prepare for our Retreat Weekend! Just like most yogis, our gear is lovingly worn (read: a little too shabby to be seen by other yogis!) and this is a perfect excuse (*ahem* reason) to freshen up our yoga and travel gear! By following us onFacebook,TwitterandPinterest, you can share with us your best travel tips and favorite products. We've even created a"Retreat ❤" boardon our Pinterest Wall for you to pin your suggestions to. You might just find your ideas mentioned in our posts or featured in the images we share before, during and after our weekend with Kate.
Throughout October, you can look forward to tips and information from Kate, and coverage of theWakefield Retreatcourtesy of Namaste Yoga. If you can't attend this retreat, you can use information gleaned here to create your own private, weekend retreat at home. We'd love to see how your retreat shapes up, so be sure to share your ideas and retreat experiences this month too!
An all-new kind ofSadhana, are you coming along?
