Erica Blitz

Erica Blitz is a moving picture of inspiration and passion. the vast array of talents and interest she embodies swirl around one constant: yoga. Deeply centered in her practice, Erica uses that grounded energy to bring forth a teaching style that encourages awakenings of highest potential in her students. Erica has been studying and practicing yoga since 1996. A self-described "international adventuress and relentless architect of possibility," she current teaches classes, workshops and teacher training primarily in the United States and Canada, and also writes and works as a yoga life coach.

Kate Potter

Kate Potter has passionately devoted herself to yoga most of her life, starting at the tender age of ten. Today her unwavering commitment and focus have earned her a reputation as an innovative Hatha yoga teacher. Kate never fails to inspire her students and followers, a population that is continually growing. Kate has been a full time yoga instructor for 18 years. Her unique and intuitive style of practice is greatly informed by her study of Buddhism with current teacher and main influence, Norman Fischer.

Erin Ayers

Erin is a Certified Hatha yoga teacher with a Bachelor of Environmental Geography and fifteen years of experience in the performing arts. She completed her Master of Business Administration at Queen's University and now works in marketing and product development at a wireless company. She keeps her life in balance by beginning each day with a Yoga session and reserving time for quiet meditation. Erin is happy to have the chance to share her personal Yoga practice with others through Namaste Yoga.

Koralee Nickarz

In addition to being a yoga instructor, Koralee is also an accomplished actor, singer, songwriter and acting coach.

Marion Landry

Originally from Montreal, Marion moved to Vancouver in 1999. She was drawn west by the lifestyle, the easy connection to the ocean and the mountains. It wasn’t long after her arrival in Vancouver that Marion discovered yoga. Yoga has now become a daily practice that Marion credits with helping her deal with stress and boosting her creativity. Marion is a gifted painter and actor. She also works as a 3D visual artist for a prominent Vancouver architecture firm.

Evangeline Duy

In addition to being a yoga instructor, Evangeline is also a certified Pilates instructor and massage therapist. As a dedicated mom, she has designed a series of classes that include a unique blend of yoga, pilates and massage specifically to enhance vitality for the pre- and postnatal woman and her baby.

Michelle Trantina

Michelle Trantina has been teaching hatha and pre-natal yoga since 2001. She is co-founder of MyYogaOnline.com, and produces/creates most of its video content and platforms. Her love of film and all things entrepreneurial merged with her passion for yoga and wellness with the inception of My Yoga in 2005.

Lily Goncalves

Lily’s passion for yoga has brought her to seek out the heart of yoga and its ancient wisdom, and to embody a holistic approach to yoga that is about truly living our essence. Lily combines what she has learned from her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology and Energy Healing Training, her sacred pilgrimages and intensive meditation practice, as well as her love for the mystic poets, dance, art, and music, to create a truly unique yoga experience for her students. She interweaves these expressions of yoga as awareness, creativity, and compassion throughout her yoga classes and workshops, as well as through her yoga teacher training. Lily has been inspired to work deeply with the sacred meditation practice of yoga nidra (Psychic Sleep) and has produced her own Yoga Nidra CD’s as tools for meditation practice. Lily invites you to join her at Blooming Lotus Yoga, her retreat on the tropical paradise island of Koh Phangan, breathe, relax and surrender.

Aili Storen

A native of British Columbia, Aili spent a portion of her childhood living in a tent on the beaches of Hawaii. Her love of yoga grew while in living in Australia. She has traveled the world on service projects from Thailand to Kenya. In 2011, Aili returned to Canada and has taught on a near-daily basis ever since. She has worked on past campaigns for lululmemon, Yoga Tree and Halfmoon. Aili challenges her students to arrive "prepared to get seriously playful." In Vancouver, she connects with her students by teaching at Semperviva Yoga and YYoga.

 

 

Judy Swens

A life-long student of yoga and certified yoga teacher, Judy is very active member of the yoga community. She is an ambassador for YogaHive.ca and Karma Collective. Judy is a Wanderlust Wayfarer, organizer of the Sunshine Coast Yoga Festival and co-creator of Prakriti Yoga Retreat in Costa Rica. Judy describes a yoga class she took atop Whistler Mountain at the Whistler Wanderlust Festival as one of her most inspiring yoga moments to date. She loves that yoga allows the practitioner to create a free mind, body and heart so the true nature of the soul can shine brightly.

Emily Millen

A resident of Vancouver, Emily has been teaching in the city since 2009. She was compelled to study yoga by her experiences with competitive figure skating and dance. Emily holds certifications in yoga and as a Doula through the BC Doula Services Association, and is an ambassador for Tonic Lifestyle Apparel. A partner in Unity Retreats, Emily leads local and international retreats throughout the year. Emily reminds her students to appreciate the little things in life, and lives her advice at home through gardening and beekeeping.

Cam Lee

Like so many of our community members, Cam was channel surfing when she discovered Namaste TV. She watched the program a few times before deciding to give it a try. Instantly hooked, Cam wanted to try more. After a climbing accident left her with a broken leg, Cam decided to go to a yoga class to try to help speed up the unbearably long process of rehabilitation. She says that her experiences with this healing process allow her to better appreciate moments of awakening in her students.

Michelle often finds the greatest sources of inspiration come from her yoga students. It was a student that serves as her constant reminder of the importance of human touch and how yoga can change lives. Michelle describes herself as "super eclectic," and finds handstands and other inversions to be more effective energizers than coffee.  A creature of change that loves to be challenged, Michelle enjoys snowboarding, rock climbing, surfing, photography, gardening and cooking.

Amanda Riches

Amanda was first introduced to Namaste Yoga in 2007, when she was hired to answer fan mail for the show. After reading hundreds of letters raving about the show, she finally decided to give it a try. It was love at first sight! Amanda knows the 27 sequences of Seasons 1 & 2 by heart, is a certified Hatha yoga teacher. She has continued to be one of the instructors in Namaste: The Five Elements, as well as Namaste TV's Seasons 3 & 4. She is a lawyer and the director of branding for Namaste TV. She maintains a daily yoga practice to stay balanced during hectic times. To help dispel the myth that you have to be flexible to do yoga, she loves to remind people that she could not even touch her toes when she first started!
